Weekly Round Up

So I thought I would start a new section called Weekly Round Up. Once a week (perhaps on a Friday) I plan on putting up a short post on Blogs, Websites, Magazine Articles or People that have caught my eye in that week. Since becoming a mum, I have spent more time reading mommy blogs, breastfeeding articles and baby magazines than I have Stephen King Novels. And as such I have of course come across some funny, crazy and more often than not helpful articles and blogs. This week I share with you (one or two) that have gotten me through the week: Mrs H’s Favourite Things: I really love this blog, for three simple reasons: 1) She lives in Kent 🙂 2)She has a little Mini-Me (or should I say “Mini-Her”?) 3) Her blog is such an honest and open account of...

Vatertag – 14.05.15

Vatertag – 14.05.15

100% Handcrafted Market

100% Handcrafted Market

On 25th April, I had the pleasure of visiting the first ever 100% Handcrafted Market in Düsseldorf. Organised by my good friend, Mama S (from Second Hand Daisy) and her friend, Michelle Gallagher (from Michelle Gallagher Artworks), the event was held at the International Library of Düsseldorf and brought together some super talented people. Roughly 20 Small Business set up to show off their handcrafted goods: from handmade children’s gifts to handcrafted jewelery; from stunning paintings to handmade girls headbands; from handmade crafts to…well I can go on and on. These were just a small taste of the talent that is really out there, I’m sure. What I liked about this market was the size! I’ve been to a few Craft Markets here in Germany, as...

They Should Have Warned Me…

They Should Have Warned Me…

I was on the fence about writing this post and after much though, I decided that I would indeed go ahead with it. Now if you Google “What to expect after giving birth” you have hundreds upon hundreds of blog posts and magazine articles from experts, midwives and medical professionals as well as hundreds from women who want to share their own personal story – and all I read was the good and some of the bad, NEVER the ugly. I don’t want to throw my 2 cents in the lake too by writing exactly what I read in those blogs. What I do want to share with you, my readers is a true account of my own experience, not sugar-coated, completely honest, raw and real. I wish they had told me:… I would have to start enjoying my coffee and tea at room...
